According to the Chinese legend, the Sun is a fire bird. There were 10 fire birds on the sky but a hero killed 9 of them. So there is only one fire bird now and we call it is the Sun.

ok good departure, now you have to go deeper in a few sketches made by hand first. Remember, you are to design a Stylised Sun and Moon, actually the rendering is flat (digital tool).
So to emphasis your logo, start by hand to follow by scanning your artwork and then to finalize within Illustrator.
For next Wednesday, bring lots of sketches first, following your chinese meaning.
